AOPA has a flying school that teaches how to fly for $8,000, but it only offers classes for a limited time, which is the reason the company decided to launch a new service to help people take flight lessons.
AOPA Flight School offers a few things to the beginner, but the service is geared toward people who want to start flying after graduation.
The company says the classes are designed to give people who haven’t flown before a “quick refresher course,” as well as a chance to “work on their skills and refine them for flight.”
It is offering a one-hour class that will focus on flying and basic skills such as how to take off, land, and avoid obstacles.
The lesson lasts for 30 minutes.
AOPA Flight Instructor (AFI) classes are also offered at the same time, but they are not as detailed.
All of the training will be conducted online.
AFRICOM is offering the service to US service members, veterans, and those looking to become certified to fly.
